Monday Oct 09, 2023
Monday Oct 09, 2023
In today’s episode, Anna has an inspiring conversation with fellow coach Andrew Anderson. They compared notes about how they see the vast majority of adults unable to handle the stress of their jobs and family life and how easy it is to slip into feeling like they’re barely staying afloat and are stuck in this vicious cycle of circumstances.
Andrew shares his own story of living in his parents’ basement, feeling as though he would never succeed at anything, to experiencing a transformative calling to write his book. He is a world-renowned transformational coach, author, and speaker. His passion influences each individual to shatter limiting beliefs and transform their lives and businesses. From stuck or uncertain to grounded and free, Andrew's insights give you power as you learn how to level up in more ways than you ever thought possible.
Here are some other topics they cover:
- The biggest misconception people think about themselves
- What inspires Andrew as a coach
- How to know when to seek outside help from a coach or therapist
- The symbolism of his book title
- Why motivation alone will not move you toward your dreams
- Why you shouldn’t compare yourselves to others
- What you’ll learn by serving someone

I had so much fun chatting with my friend, Kathy Flynn, in this episode; we could have gone on much longer because she’s so filled with stories and inspiration.
This wife and mom of two little boys is a serial entrepreneur who has partnered with her husband to run two local businesses in Slate Hill, NY. Kathy shares with us when she first felt the entrepreneurial calling and how she worked and had faith in herself and her skills while navigating business ownership at a young age.
This is where her motto of “Do it Scared” comes into play!
We also chatted about:
- Building a legacy for her family
- What entrepreneurship means for her
- Biggest lessons she has learned about herself
- Time management practices
- The hardest thing about partnering with her husband
- Setting boundaries between work and family
Kathy also shared how her vision as a young woman manifested into owning a restaurant 15 years later and why having a vision for your life is so motivating.

What’s Your Kryptonite with Special Guest Dr Gala Gorman
Thursday Sep 28, 2023
Thursday Sep 28, 2023
If you’re a busy woman trying to be Super Woman in your daily life and feel like you’re spreading yourself too thin, this episode is dedicated to you!
I’m thrilled to have Dr. Gala Gorman as my special guest today and we’re chatting about getting to the root causes of any symptoms we experience. Instead of reaching for the pain reliever or antacid, it’s time to pay attention to any symptoms we experience because something is causing it. Don’t just take a Tylenol to get rid of a headache; examine WHY you have a headache to begin with.
If we continue to treat ONLY the symptoms, eventually our body will become overworked and won’t be able to fight off disease. Symptoms aren’t new; they accumulate over time, creating more stress for your body. These days with so many toxic exposures in our environment, it’s vitally important to become your own health advocate.
Dr. Gala Gorman is a licensed Acupuncturist, Naturopath, and Author of What’s Your Kryptonite? She offers practical advice and programs to reverse health issues resulting from chronic stress. She helps women relieve their symptoms, restore their energy, and reclaim their "Super Woman" status. Dr. Gala advocates for getting to the root cause of the health issue and treating it naturally. She encourages patients to be their own health advocate ... or PCP (primary care person).
In an effort to take better care of my own body, I’ve partnered with Plexus Worldwide, which is on the cutting edge of health science, with a range of products focused on every aspect of your health and happiness. We help your body get rid of the bad stuff, pave the way to better digestive health, and feed your system to benefit the body and mind.

How do you feel on Sundays, when the weekend is winding down and you’re looking to the week ahead?
Do you feel excited at all the new possibilities that await? Or do you feel moments of dread?
How we think about things - absolutely anything in the world - is how we create our reality. So, if you dread going to work, meeting with a client, or doing your taxes, chances are you’ll remain stressed for the week and you might run into obstacles along the way.
However, if you fill your Sundays with joyful activities and focus on the important people in your life, chances are good that you’ll feel like your energy cup is full and you can tackle anything the week brings you.
I’m diving a lot deeper into this topic today, including giving you some productivity tips and explaining how our energy levels and thoughts directly affect our focus and productivity each day.
WE are in control of our thoughts, my friends. I’ll help you focus on what matters most so you can live your best life every day.

Dreaming Ridiculously Big
Monday Sep 18, 2023
Monday Sep 18, 2023
Somewhere on our path from childhood into adulthood we lose our ability to dream big. As a kid, it was a no-brainer to say we wanted to be a professional athlete, a movie star, or an astronaut, and yet so many adults think they need to be more reasonable and practical as they get into the nitty gritty of adulthood.
I’m here to encourage you to rediscover your dreams. As humans, we have the ability to dream and to create. If we aren’t happy with our life path, WE can make changes! Too many people settle for what they ‘think’ their life is supposed to be like – or they talk themselves out of their bigger dreams – and they go through daily life unfulfilled and miserable.
If you can dream an idea, it’s yours to have. Take some time to use the journal prompts as they will help you create a vision for your life. For some people, goals themselves are not motivating. But if you remember the dream behind those goals, you’ll be motivated to take committed action.
Listen in as I share my own childhood dream and how it manifested in my life. Then come over to the Facebook group and share your own vision!
Journal Prompts:
- What do you want in life?
- What’s important to you?
- What are you dreaming about?
- What brings you joy and happiness?
- What is holding you back?
Quotes to Remember:
“Chase the things that matter most.”
“What good is a dream if you can’t turn it into a reality?”

The Four Agreements to Make with Yourself
Monday Sep 11, 2023
Monday Sep 11, 2023
Have you ever been so moved by a book that you want to tell everyone you know to read it? That’s how I feel about The Four Agreements: A Practical Guide to Personal Freedom by Don Manuel Ruiz.
This book definitely falls under the Personal Development genre but it’s a short, easy read and focuses on achievement in all areas of your life. Absolutely everyone can make these agreements with themselves – there are no prerequisites needed – and you’ll be on the path to living a high-level, fulfilling, spiritual life.
While these agreements might seem simplistic, making them a part of your everyday life can be a challenge, especially nowadays when we’re all so busy with balancing careers with our personal lives. But this book is not meant to change your life overnight. Quite the contrary; you might need to take a few baby steps to get started and that’s OK. Awareness is a recurring theme in this book, so that might be your first step: being aware that you’re capable of making changes and living your best life.
Forgiveness and action are other themes that bear mentioning. So often we are our hardest critics but learning how to forgive ourselves for past mistakes is paramount to learning the lessons from those mistakes. And action is vitally important to achieving your goals. It’s not enough to think and dream of what you want. Without action, we can’t get results.
I dive a lot deeper into each of the four agreements in this episode and I’d love to hear your thoughts. Share your insights in our Monday Morning Mojo Facebook group.

8 Ways to Beat Burnout
Monday Sep 04, 2023
Monday Sep 04, 2023
Are you near the point of burning out at work? Burnout simply means when you feel depleted, have loss of energy and brain fog. It’s hard to focus or even find your motivation to get out of bed in the morning. Burnout is quite the opposite of mojo, which is your best energy. When you find your mojo, you regain your confidence, enthusiasm, and inspiration.
So, what are you doing to prevent burnout? Burnout is a real risk for nearly everyone, so don’t think you’re immune. Whether you have a corporate career, a midlevel management job, or are an entrepreneur, taking care of your physical and mental health to avoid burnout is paramount in today’s busy world.
I get it…it’s a vicious cycle. You want to succeed and we’ve trained ourselves that in order to succeed we need to do more, often to the detriment of our health or relationships. But I encourage you to take a few minutes for yourself today and really think about what you can do differently to put yourself FIRST. You take so much time to care for others; when will YOU get to the top of your list?
Listen in for my 8 tips to avoid burnout.
Quotes to remember:
“When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.”
“A person without direction loses confidence and effectiveness.” Brendan Burchard
“The greatest project on our to do list is time to work on us.”
“Overwhelm is a symptom of shutting down.”

Navigating Relationships with Difficult People
Monday Aug 28, 2023
Monday Aug 28, 2023
We all know by now that stress is harmful to our bodies and we should lessen the stress in our everyday lives. But what happens when you have difficult people in your life? It’s one thing to walk away from a rude cashier at the grocery store but much more difficult if that person is a family member or coworker.
A word of encouragement: It is impossible to live a stress-free life. As hard as you try, there will be various levels of stress every day, even if you’re relaxing at home. So, don’t try to aim for perfection by going for stress-free. Instead, learn how to handle the difficult people so your reaction to situations or comments doesn’t elevate your blood pressure so much.
I wish this episode would give you the magic pill to make you a pro at dealing with difficult people but it really takes introspection and work on your part. However, the more you practice these steps, the easier it will become to shift away from stress when dealing with difficult people or situations.
In this episode, I’ll walk you through the steps of learning how to interpret a stressful situation and what makes a difficult person (hint: everyone has a different opinion about this). We’ll also talk about staying calm and neutral in stressful situations. Logic makes us think; emotions make us act. We want to remain logical but that will take some practice.
One last thing to remember…this is not about winning or being right. Chances are that you won’t win over this difficult person. But getting to a neutral place and being unattached to the outcome is preferable to an emotional reaction that might make the situation worse.
Quotes to remember:
“Who we are today is a result of all of our programming.” ~ Anna Gibbs
“If you let a toxic situation or person get out of control, it will steal your joy.”
“Complaining is a garbage magnet.”
“Disappointment comes from unmanaged expectations.”

Remember this formula:
E + r = o {Event + response = (your) outcome}
Quick Tips for Relieving Stress:
Rub your ear lobes in a circular motion.
Place 1 hand on your forehead and 1 at the base of your neck and take deep breaths to remain calm.
